Hope In the Holy Spirit

**Inspired from my daily devotions**

Knowing that God loves us and is with us gives us hope alone.

"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,  nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."~Romans 8:38-39

It is honestly so comforting to know that NOTHING will ever separate us from the love of God. Being that death, demons, the present or future, or our sins can never stop God from loving us means that He loves us very strongly. Make that infinitely strong love.

This wonderful man DIED for us! He literally gave up His life to give us life when we were dead; when we were still sinners who were probably the farthest from being lovable.

That is real love.
How could we think that The Lord doesn't love us?
Even sometimes?
His love is everlasting,
Never ending.

There is nothing we can ever do to make God stop loving us. Now, this doesn't mean that we can go on sinning and take advantage of the amazing grace that God has given us.

Not at all.

The good Lord will always be gracious and forgive us. But when we repent, we must change our ways to suit the ways of the Lord. For example, I can repent and ask for God to forgive me for being lazy. But just because He forgives me, doesn't mean that I can go on being lazy because I know He'll forgive me in the future, it means that I have to change my ways and work on being more hardworking.

"26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." ~Romans 8:26-27

Tears are prayers.

In times of trial, when we cannot articulate what to say to God, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. Our prayers are then manifested as tears, moans, and groans. The best part about this is that God understands those prayers! It is a language that He speaks. The Holy Spirit is always there to help us in our weakness. It is God who is with us listening to our voiceless, heartfelt prayers.

Isn't that amazing?

Yes! It is a blessing to know that we don't always need words to express our prayers. It's even a bigger blessing to know that God hears us and WILL answer us and bless us in time. He notices every single tear that drops from from those eyes. He will come by your side and put His loving arm around you, telling you that it will be okay.

God searches our hearts. So when we can't form words, we can just fall to our knees, or back on our beds, and just say, "Lord..." and let your heart do the talking. God will listen. He's always there waiting patiently on you.

Scream if you need to,
Or just cry silent tears,
God will help you,
He will carry you
To the joy
That lies ahead.

that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
~Ephesians 3:16-19

Right when we are born again God gives us the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit. Now the Holy Spirit will always be there in good, joyful times and also in times of trial. The Holy Spirit (God) will, in painful times, always be close to us, loving us, comforting us, strengthening us, and helping us through our situations.

Praise Jesus!!

It is truly amazing to know that The Lord is always close to us when He just feels so far? That is important to remember, not only in stressful moments, but also in moments of joy.

It is also important to give God thanks at all times, even when it doesn't make sense to.

That's true worship. I will get you out of the deepest pit.

Praise Him in the dark,
He will bring you to the light.
